LingoBamboo is designed to work without an account. We do not ask for your name, password, or payment details in the current release.

Learning progress on this device

When you complete a game level, LingoBamboo stores the completion badge and your unlocked Pinyin level in this browser's local storage. This information stays on this device, is not attached to a personal profile, and is not synced to our servers or another device. Clearing browser data or using the reset control below removes it.

Usage information

Production usage analytics are provided by Umami. They include page views, referral and campaign source information, and limited game events such as the game, scene, difficulty, mode, level, and score. We do not send names, email addresses, or free-text answers, and we do not create named learner profiles from these events. You can contact us to ask about data handling.

The feedback chat is provided by Crisp and is loaded only when you choose to open it from the Contact page. If you start a conversation, Crisp processes your message and technical information needed to operate the chat. We do not automatically attach a LingoBamboo account or learning history. Please do not send sensitive personal information.

If a bundled pinyin sound fails twice, the site may send LingoBamboo's server a minimal technical event containing the sound's pinyin base, tone, and retry count. It does not include free-text content or an account identity. This event is used only to diagnose a broken audio asset.

Hosting and technical information

Our hosting provider may process standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, request time, and requested page to deliver and secure the site. We do not intentionally collect sensitive information through game answers.
